Buy it now, collect it when you arrive. Someone from our shop hands it to you at the airport or brings it to your hotel, and can put it in your phone and switch it on for you. You do not need a phone that supports eSIM, you do not need to queue at arrivals, and you do not need Vietnamese cash in your pocket to get online.
This is the same unlimited plan sold on our eSIM page, on the same line, at the same price — the only difference is that it arrives as a physical card someone puts in your hand. Our metered 5GB and 7GB a day plans are sold as eSIM only.
We hand these over in person, so we only sell what is physically on the shelf. Nothing is being held back — there simply are none today. The eSIM plans are unaffected and deliver in about a minute.

Your phone has no eSIM support. Most phones sold before 2018, and many Android models still on sale, cannot install an eSIM at all. A SIM card works in every one of them.
You would rather someone else set it up. At hand-over our staff can open the tray, insert the SIM, and confirm you have data before they walk away — in English, Korean, Chinese or Vietnamese.
You want a spare that is not locked to one handset. A SIM card can move to a second phone, a hotspot or a travel companion’s device; an eSIM cannot once it is installed.
How it works

Order before you fly and tell us where you land, or which hotel you are staying at, and on what date.

We set your SIM aside and send you a confirmation with your order number. That number is the only thing you need to collect it.

Show the number at hand-over. Staff can insert the SIM and check you are online before you leave. No QR code, nothing to scan, nothing shipped.

How hotel delivery worksWhat this SIM does not do
No outgoing calls. Like every travel SIM we sell, the carrier blocks outbound calling and outbound SMS, and topping up does not unlock it.
No app or bank verification codes. These are prepaid tourist SIMs, not lines registered in your name, so the automated codes banks and apps send do not arrive — on the SIM card exactly as on the eSIM.
Vietnam only. It does not work once you cross into Thailand, Cambodia or Laos — for a multi-country trip, buy a regional eSIM instead, even though it costs more per gigabyte.
Vinaphone SIM cards carry a real +84 number that receives incoming calls and ordinary SMS, so a Grab driver or a hotel can ring you back. Skyfi and Viettel cards are data-only. Neither receives app or bank codes.
Questions before you buy
What if my flight is delayed or I arrive on a different day?+
Email us at admin@telebox.vn with your order number and the new date. Your SIM is set aside for you, not sold to someone else in the meantime, and there is no charge for moving the date. A SIM card does not start counting until it is activated, so a delay costs you nothing.
Do I need to register with my passport?+
No. These are prepaid tourist SIMs that arrive ready to use, so there is no paperwork at hand-over. That is also why they do not receive bank or app verification codes: those only reach a line registered to a named subscriber.
Can I use it in a pocket WiFi router or a second phone?+
Yes, and that is one of the real advantages of a card over an eSIM. Move it between devices as often as you like — into a hotspot for a laptop, into a spare handset, into a travel companion’s phone. An installed eSIM stays on the device it was installed on.
Does the SIM card cost more than the eSIM?+
No. Both are the same price, with no delivery charge on either. Bringing a card to you does cost us something — someone holds it, meets you at the airport or travels to your hotel — but we cover that rather than pricing the option out of reach of the travellers who need it most, which is people whose phone cannot take an eSIM at all.
What if the SIM is not there when I arrive?+
Full refund, and we send you an eSIM free so you are online the same day. We only sell what is physically on the shelf — the site will say sold out rather than take your money for a card we do not hold — but if we still get it wrong, that is on us.
Can I just buy one at the airport instead?+
You can, and sometimes that is the right call. What you get by ordering ahead is a price fixed before you fly, a plan you chose while you had wifi to read about it, and no queue at arrivals after a long flight. We are an authorized Vinaphone dealer with a real shop in Hanoi, not a counter you will never see again.
Both cost exactly the same, so price is not the thing to weigh. The eSIM arrives in about a minute instead of waiting for a hand-over, and cannot be lost or left in a hotel safe. A SIM card makes sense when your phone has no eSIM support, when you would rather someone else set it up, or when you want something you can move between devices.
