Viettel 5G Vietnam 2026: City-by-City Coverage for Travelers

Viettel commercially launched its 5G network in late 2024 and has been expanding aggressively through 2025 into 2026. Today, the central districts of all major cities and most provincial capitals are covered. For travelers, this means noticeably faster downloads, smoother video calls, and more responsive maps and ride-hailing apps in urban areas.

However, coverage is not uniform. Rural destinations, trekking trails, national parks, and remote beaches typically rely on 4G.
